Repairs to split lead downpipe which has been causing damp on the wall of the property
New garage roof. Replacement of cement fibre board using Plastisol coated standing seam steel clad sheets. This garage had been burgled through a hole smashed in the old cement fibre board. We have replaced it with one piece lengths of standing seam steel clad sheets secured with 38mm heavy section self tapping fixings which will make any attempted break in through the roof virtually impossible without attracting attention
Installation of new 510mm wide code 4 lead on the valley boards & newly refurbished cast iron gutters, replacement of broken tiles & re-pointing of failed mortar.
We have replaced the failed lead on the valley boards using shorter lengths of lead. When the original lead was installed it was cut into lengths of 1.5 meters. This is too long for lead this wide as it is technically in a liquid state at the temperatures that we experience in this country (which is why it is so malleable making it a very workable material for roofing) & the lead therefore sags under it’s own weight causing it to slowly split & tear over time. To prevent this happening again we cut the lengths of lead at 0.9 meters
Repairs to Belfast style garage roof using new Sterling OSB boards & rubber EPDM cap sheet
Installation of new Classic Bond EPDM rubber membrane on a flat garage roof.
