Roof overhaul/maintenance. Removal of moss & lichen, repairs to under felt, installation of eaves felt support trays, replacement of broken/damaged tiles & re-pointing of ridge tiles.
The lead on this valley was pierced by nails sitting proud in the board underneath . It must have leaked since it was built 10 years ago.
When this house was built the under felt was left short of the lead valley causing water to run into the soffit & down the wall
This roof only had one outlet at the rear end of the roof. Also over the years the concrete sub strata has settled & moved which has prevented the water from flowing to the outlet properly leading to a lot of pooling/standing water, which in turn has caused roof failure. To remedy this we have re-directed the flow of the roof the other way & installed a drip edge, gutter & downpipe to take the rain water away.
